Mt Rainier and Mt St. Helens

It's like the Grand Canyon: You can't get a feel for how big it is from a picture.

We walked up on of the hiking trails for a couple of miles. Beautiful!

Snow and flowers blooming side by side.

As we were leaving the parking lot, we looked back and saw the clouds coming in. We were on the mountain at the perfect time.

The road down Rainier was winding. Mountain on one side, deep valley on the other side.

A couple hours away and we begin to see damage from the Mt St. Helen's volcano.

You can see all the tree trunks fell over in the same direction from the volcano blast in 1980.

These stairs took us to top to look across into the volcano damaged mountain top of Mt St. Helens.

From St. Helens, looking back at Mt Rainier.
